The company is all set to build up an international standard training infrastructure in its factory at Belwa, Birgunj Metropolitan City – 31. In doing so, Hipco Superbuild has partnered with UKaid Skill for Employment (सीप), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and its Make in Nepal – Swadeshi campaign.

Hipco Superbuild signed a partnership with Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) on 21st March 2023. The partnership aims to contribute for benefitting 45,000 Nepali people by bringing more productive and equitable vocational skills and migration systems and also by improving the livelihood of the people within Lumbini and Madhesh province. Hipco Superbuild will be providing training and job placement opportunities to 1348 trained workers within Madhesh and Lumbini province.

Contribution to the Private Sector Employers in Nepal

This training aims to generate skilled workers as per the job descriptions of the factories / industries in Nepal. It reduces unavoidable obligations of private sector industries to rely on labour from India with higher wage rates for their industries. This training also provides an opportunity to make industries an inclusive, environmentally responsible organization by giving training and providing placements to women, People with Disabilities (PwD), disadvantaged groups (DAG) of Nepal. It aims to help industries to increase their productivity and efficiency by generating skilled workers locally.

Contribution Towards Nepal’s Economy (Think Globally, Act Locally)

This training contributes towards increasing the industrial productivity of factories and industries of Nepal. It helps to increase the construction sector contribution in the overall economic activity of Nepal (which is currently 8%). It contributes towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal (Goal no 08, Target 8.2 & Indicator 8.2.1) and target 8.3 until 2030. It also contributes towards achieving higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation including a focus on high-value added and labour -intensive sectors of Nepal.
